Alabama Orthopaedic Specialists, P.A. is the only subspecialty trained orthopaedic group in Montgomery, Alabama. Each of our six physicians is either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and are fellowship-trained.
General Orthopaedics, Arthroscopy and Total Joint Surgery.
Dr. Barrington has completed a Fellowship in Total Joint Surgery and is Board Certified. He is a graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville and completed his residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. After completing a service obligation with the United States Air Force in 2000, he returned to Vanderbilt for his total joint fellowship. He is a member of the prestigious American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and has been in private practice in Montgomery since 2001. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children.
Spine Surgery and General Orthopaedics.
He has completed a Fellowship in spine surgery and is Board Certified. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and completed his orthopaedic residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. He completed his Fellowship at Duke University in Durham, NC. Dr. Davis has been in private practice since 2003. He and his wife Leslie reside in Montgomery.
General Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
He has completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine and is Board Certified. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency at Tulane University. He completed his Fellowship at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Hartzog has been in private practice since 1997. He has three children.
General Orthopaedics and Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Thornbury has completed a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery and is Board Certified. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he also completed his orthopaedic residency. He has been in private practice in Montgomery since 1983. He and his wife, Linda, have three children.
General Orthopaedics, and Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
Dr. Turki completed his Fellowship in Hand/Upper Extremity at the University of Chicago and is Board Certified. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Emory University where he received both his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees. Additionally, his post graduate training included an orthopaedic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Turki joined AOS in August 2011 and lives with his wife Suzi and son Wafik in Montgomery. He is fluent in Arabic and English, and his leisure activities include soccer, skiing, hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding.
